Last week, my sweet neighbor, commishioned me for her children’s annual portraits…
I have seen these two around the neighborhood and knew how much little sister adored big brother… so when we got this shot- I knew in an instant that it told the story of these two siblings. Big brother holding on tight, trying to protect his little sister… and her, just happy to be with him!
It was his idea to climb… and what a perfect rendition of him at 10. Mom chose this one for her wall too. 
Perfect.
And Little sis… I’ll go ahead and admit… it was almost a necessity for big brother to be behind me for each of the photographs of little sis…
She kept us on our toes- but that didn’t stop us from getting amazing images…
and one of our favorites- the very first click of the shutter… she sat down, dropped her toes in the fish pond, click, I got the shot- then a fish mistook her toe for breakfast… (we didn’t put our feet in the water again).
P- you are the best 2 year old wrangler I have seen in a long time! I hope the “compensation plan” we worked out with mom was worth all the work! Your sweet soul shows in your portraits…
